Many sunscreens use zinc oxide for their sun protection. This is a good thing. But the rest of their formulas may contain chemical fragrances, harsh chemicals which can damage your skin and some are even known to be carcinogenic, and water.
At Haley Nutrition, we wanted to keep things as natural as possible. We use only necessary ingredients… and Aloe vera.
Sure, it has disadvantages including a shorter shelf life (we recommend keeping it in the fridge!). And it doesn’t smell like your favorite garnished Caribbean cocktail with an umbrella in it. It does smell a little like Aloe vera… because we used Aloe vera instead of water!
And because we didn’t add texturizing chemicals to make it spread easier, you might have to rub it in a tad bit more. Of course, if a friend is helping you put it on your shoulders, this is a big bonus!
